Going apes!
I resently did the Wildones 502's 12.5 Apes and the cables required where +6"
I also used the NAMZ wiring extension and they where easy to use and worked well. The only thing I noted with the NANZ wire extensions is the wiring color matches wern't quit exact.
The best advise I can give is to do very good drawing of your plugs for the color codes and then back that up with pictures of the top and bottom of every plug. I did not have to extend the TBW, there was enough slack.
The job is not hard but is time consuming. I completed mine in a day with no errors. Once the old bars are off, have a comfortable place to set down and work through doing the wire extensions and the plugs.
The big headach is changing out the the clutch and brake lines. The brake line is not bad (mine was Non-ABS) But the bleading was a pain. If you have ABS be prepaired to take it to a dealer to blead the ABS.
The clutch requires the loosing/ removal of the exhausts. Have a new gasket on hand and the correct locktight for the bolts. The locktight also keeps the clutch housing bolts from leaking oil.
If you ever plan on changing out the switch houses for chrome this would be a good time to do it. once done the wiring is pretty tight in the bars and would be difficult to do at a later time with out pulling the bars.
Good luck and take your time.

thanks guys. tex, already changed the brake line with a stainless and should be enough slack for bars. also changed clutch cable to stainless so familiar with instal also put in s/e clutch pressure plate with 5 speed lite clutch kit (some mod to make it fit but not bad) works great.
I did the WO 577's (12.5) and used a +6 clutch and brake. Did not have to use wire extensions. The TBW was long enough to use the original routing and I rerouted the fairing side of the control harnesses down each side of the radio and connected them to the bars under the radio.
