Has anyone wired their headlight to turn on manually, and what kind of a switch did you use?
Why would you want to??? Lights on for safety and where we live with all the illegals running around with Penn tags, the more visibility the better!!!!!!!
Safety? It isn't about safety, it's about selling more lights. The Dealers Assn. tried to get a daytime headlight law psssed here in the 70's. It failed because states that passed it didn't experience a drop in reported accidents. The Dealers couldn't care less about your saftey they care about profits.
The manufacturers figured why fight City hall and just wired them on al the time. Since most of our riding is in the daylight when we wouldn't normally ride with lights on, headlights burn out a lot more often. Hell, Harley will even sell you one that costs about $500.00.
I have LEDS all around, wanted to use just the Passing Lamps during the day and save some wear and tear on the headlight.I also have Motolights that I use during the day.
