I am traveling in Southern Italy, got an LED Headlight on a Street glide (no aux lamps) which stopped working today. Fuse ok. Any ideas/possibilities for repair? LED headlights are not sold here. Do I have to go with a stock headlight as workaround? Or is there a similar thread on malfunctioning LED headlamps? Please be patient if I do not reply to posts as internet access is rare on my way. Thanks a lot. Klonko
Is it an APS "speaker" light, ot the kuryakan multi bulb one?. I think APS has a manufacturer warranty of 4 years, but they have to examine and evaluate the cause. If it's the APS, I would swap the adapter ring back out for a stock headlamp and send in the LED for warranty.
That sucks if it is the $500 HD one but like Stated above I think it has a warranty. However my dealer told me they are currently a suspended part number due to some sort one manufacturer/supplier issues. Anyone else hear this?
Not sure about your particular lamp but I have had the same think happen to me several times on my 01 Road King which takes a standard 7" lamp. A couple years ago ordered an etched headlight, installed it and a couple days later it stopped working. Seller from ebay sent me another and it has been fine ever since. A couple weeks ago I went to Autozone to buy a brighter light. Same deal and after a couple days it stopped working so exchanged it and so far so good. In short, if it is a style light that you can replace from an auto parts store it is a much cheaper and more practical fix.
I tried to get one 73390-10 H-D LED from my dealer on 5/3 and this was her reply.
"Sorry just got a chance to email you. the part is not in stock, but is on order. However, the company has sent an email from corporate that these items are back ordered for a materials change. I can keep and eye out for it though if you would like."
On 5/14 I received this e-mail.
"Hi Ken,
Looking like it's going to available at the end of the month, the 26th?"
As soon as one comes in I'll have one.

I am sure he will get back to us. My son lives in Germany and is 7 hrs. ahead of CST. I think Italy is the same but maybe more. So it's late sunday night there.

I herd that production was being held up because of parts needed to make the light are from japan and the earthquake has held that up.
I bought the 8700 black 7" LED light direct from APS with the harley adapter ring shipped for about $460. (in stock) as they were back ordered from HD. Tell him Herb referred you.
