I have a 07 FLHX with the stock HK head unit. I was looking at upgrading the head unit to one that has more power, mp3 and GPS all in one.
Can anyone recommend a good head unit that is water proof, bike approved and is better than the stock unit.

well, thats a tough one... to have all of those options including the gps? And then have it waterproof? Not sure that is a possibility.... Im waiting for my install date and then I will have a alpine it will be ipod ready (with the wire that goes to the saddle bag) and still have a cd player, no GPS and no waterproof. Although I will have the biketronics spash guard. In order to have the gps I think you need a flip out screen, you might want to ask Glacierpear (screen name on this forum) he has a impressive system with the flip screen.

I've only seen the GPS on the 'flip-out' screens. Of course, Kenwood and Alpine will be the most popular. Can get the Sirius Radio add-on too.

Haven't seen a flip-out that is waterproof , as of yet, at least not in a single DIN, but.............I'm sure there will be a market some day.
