I went with the 2011 Road King w/cruise and ABS.
I Like the hard bags and narrow whites that will be changed to b/walls when the time comes. I live on 3 miles of gravel and we all know about that and white walls.

I really like the bike.

Default 16 vs 17

Hi Team

I bought a 2011 street glide. I love the bike, but i would consider making the jump back to a road king classic, mostly to go back to a 16 inch rim. Although my S/G handles very well, I am thinking the old 16 inch wheels and the wider profile will be alot plusher ride. Can anyone comment on this ? Ive had bikes going as far back as a 46 flat head, my favorite was my 65 pan with the pogo seat, I really would like to find another bike that road like that, man it was smooth. So anyoneout there with a direct comparison review of the ride on a rkc vs rc with the newer 17 inc low profile tyre and rim ?

What kind of rims are those?

If I had to do it all over again, I would get another Standard.

I'm looking at my first Harley. I was stuck on a FatBob(HD orange also), but a RK is looking like only $1000 more after I optioned the FB, besides I'll be 2 up alot. I"ve sold my Valkyrie, no complaints whatever and very hard to replace(3x$), just found out you can dependably add power to a new HD.
Am I seeing a demand for the Hard bags? I would want to put soft bags on my RK standard, I don't want a classic because of extra $ for sec & abs, plus I would be different.

I went with the classic and put hard bags on it. I like the looks of hard bags better.

I like my Road King. It came with those profile laced (spoke) wheels, and Cruise. I also prefer the look and lockability (is that word??) of the hard bags. Never cared for those huge white walls, or the look of their bags. No offense, but the bags on a classic look like an afterthought.
