twist grip sensor

Just as i was gonna take my first long trip on my road glide 11 with 130 miles i got broken down 2 blocks from my house,and now that i did some research(lil too late)its a very common defect from harley on new touring bikes,whats your 2 cents on this?had a wg before and never gave me any crap>>>

Is the sensor faulty or is the ECM having an issue getting a signal from it?

I've seen enough complaints and have experienced it myself 3 times to agree that the problem is way too common. Especially from a safety point of view. Pulling into traffic, accelerating hard and suddenly you have no throttle. If it ever happens to you, you'll know just how TOO common it is.

Yes, it is a problem! Had it happen to me 3 times, the last time doing 55 going to shift to 6th gear and give it gas, and no throttle. Had to have throttle sensor replaced on my 2011 Sedona Orange Road Glide. It scared the **** out of me, in rush hour traffic!!!

yep it happens had 2,000 on my 2010limited and it screwed up. engine light ,poor throttle sensor replaced and issue gone also did something to pins on ecm and a few other connections
