I don't know if this will help you make your desion but this is what I added to my stock head pipe....
2011 FLHX 103", I installed the HD FatShotz 2-1-2 (two slip ons with open ends) at the 1000 mile service. I have 500 miles on them now, I would say they are about 10% louder than stock at idle and maybe 20% louder than stock when getting on it. But the tone is deeper at all levels than stock. Very comfortable sound while touring. I like the 50 state street legal stamp on each muffler and the ability to tune them down the road. If I change out the head pipe later on to get rid of the CAT I think the HD FatShotz will get louder and I can tune for max power and torque. Not to mention, they look GREAT!

Went with the V&H VO2 intake, V&H powerduals, fuelpak and SE street performance slip-ons. Only a bit louder, mainly during acceleration and quiet at highway speeds
