Default Another windshield try

I've been running a LRS 8 inch extreme for awhile. I've been happy with the shield but it was just a little to tall especially when I got on some curvy backroads.

So I ordered a Fastaire 7 Inch Euro and got it mounted today. took it out for about 30 miles this morning and seems like I am getting less turbulent air with this shorter shield.

Leaving for St. Louis this afternoon so will have a much better test ride then.

Shield came well packaged, shipped quick, and fit perfect. Only complaint is the dark grey is a little light.

Please keep us posted. I'm still looking at different shield options myself. I'd like to try and get away with getting it right for me the first time.

Thanks for your positive comments. I hope it works out for you on the road trip.

The Dark Gray is a 64-66% dark tint. It falls right under the general DOT allowed 66% dark tint used on autos... called limo tint. I choose this tint as the best combination of looks & safety. Any darker may hinder the ability to see thru it at night or in the shadows. A darker tint could be easily done but as a business owner & a long time rider, safety is more important that looks.

Thanks for being a customer......

I recently switched from a 7" Fastaire to a new 6" Aero. The 7" was centered right on my sightline. The 6" Aero is much better and has much less turbulent air. It's the best shield I've ever had and I've had a few! Check it out at www.fastaire.com or give Jim a call. He is a straight shooter, provides great service and fair prices. Ride safe.

Looks like it has a nice line to it. It flows with the batwing. Smart looking.

Gotta be honest I didn't care for the Extreme but went to The Ultra in the 9" and my wife and I both love it.

Rode 250 miles today so gave it a good test. It does a good job and works as well as the 1 inch taller Xtreme I had.

Still having the same issue as I had with the Xtreme of being slightly to tall. Even though it's a inch shorter I think the fact that it is farther away from me than the Xtreme it's causing the same issue.

May give a 6 inch a try.

Why did you decide to move away from the LRS shield?

That shield looks great. It looks higher then 7", what is the measurement from the fairing to the top of the shield?
