whats the difference - screaming eagle 103 heads vs regular 96 heads?
#21
The head porters from what I remember, would rather take a set of stock heads and port them. Than to take a set of SE heads and port them.
If I remember it had something to do with how the chambers was cut.
It would take somebody who does this to answer correctly oh,
I'm forgetting a lot since I don't work with it everyday.

Ok back to the original question, I still have my 07 Screamin Eagle pro racing catalog so the specs on the 103+ heads are
Springs can handle lift up to .650'' and 7000 rpms
The intake valves are2.080'' dia.
The exhaust valves are 1.623''
The combustion chamber is 98 cc's
Used with 103+ stroker pistons they will produce a compression ratio of 10.5:1
I don't know what the stock 96 heads specs are

I don't know what the stock 96 heads specs are
Stock 96 heads
1.80" intake 7mm stem
1.575" exhaust 7mm stem
CCs about 86 to 88
intake port about 1.62"
exhaust port about 1.60"
Spring seat pressure about 120 lb.
intake flow about 210 to 220 cfm @28
exhaust flow about 180 to 190 (IIRC too lazy to check)
Springs / heads will support 0.590 lift.
I've not used the 103+ heads but they work well in a bigger motor say 117 or 124.
If you are doing a 103 / 107, I'd use stock ported castings with 1.9 intake and 1.57/1.6 exhaust depending in the cam chosen.
