Quick question: I've read a few posts about setting a new PIN and the sequence required to do that or in fact manually disabling the security.
If all I want to do is view the current PIN that is set, using the sequence, once the PIN is displayed and I want to keep that PIN do I just turn the ignition to OFF and it's retained?
To view or change,
Ignition, off, Ignition, off, Ignition, Left blinker switch 3 times fast, then right blinker fast once,
The odometer will dispaly the currect PIN # if you want to change press left blink number of times and set it with rt blinker. When finish turn ignition off and will store #
Guess I didn't read through your entire post, YES. I was just glad I learned this.
Hi there
Thanks for the replies. Tried it today and yes you have to be fairly "speedy gonzales" to get the sequence happening correctly, but I managed to get it to display the current PIN which is correctly recorded in the manual, so I'm happy.
Also practised disabling the alarm system using the PIN just in case
Another question about changing the security PIN number. When you change your PIN number and you have 2 fobs should you have both of them with you when you change the number?
