Won't need a helmet as long as you ride through the aformentioned states. You go through Nebraska though and you will. Avoid it and no helmet. Cool huh?

If you are hog member, there is a page on the members site that lists all mc laws, including helmet, helmet speakers, lights and other things

If you have room, pack a helmet for so you CAN do those unexpected side trips- can be handy in the rain ( and hail like Sturgis last year).

As you ride you'll come upon more and more bikes heading the same way- it's cool, you'll have a great time.

Accoms can be WAY pricey.

Campgrounds can be the way to go, and alot of them have cabins for rent.

If you have an iPhone you can download the app from iTunes called Helmet Laws

The local business in Daytona called The Helmet Shop put it together last year for anyone traveling around the country

And it's FREE!!!!!

The AMA website has all the info on helmets, as well as things you may not have thought of. Like handlebar height and eye protection lane splitting etc.
