How much for a complete motor rebuild?

Talking about waking the dead. You replied to a 12 year old thread!
You are looking at about $1800 to R/R the motor; say 24 man hours at $75 per; $200 for gaskets and oil; $150 to ship lower unit to Hoban Brothers; $1200 or thereabouts to rebuild crank, replace bushings and bearing, rod damage will add to that. Assuming there is no other damage, $3500 is probably the low end and it could run up to $4000 per Pine Tree's post.
Spend another $2000 and you can install a 120" crate motor.[/QUOTE
Why. So Hobans can literally steal it like they stole my father's 42 knucklehead...
