just look at all the problems listed on fairly new bikes with few miles on them on this board and you decision should be quite easy. If I do buy another Harley, given the quality of this one that's a big if, it will most definately have an extended warranty.

I bought my bike new in 03/07 I turned down all the bs warntees
and I am thankfull because I haven't needed a dang one of them
I had the black powder coating or paint or what ever it is, start
coming off the engine and the dealership would have to have
someone else look at it then give them permission to fix it or have
it fixed under the factory warntee. I said to heck with it and I am
still living with it, but now I know about harleys warntees

My last bike was a brand X. It came with a free 5 year unlimited miles warranty. I rode the crap out of it and never had to use it, but the warranty was free, so I wasn't out anything.

keep in mind the moco now offers a factory warranty to any bike 10 model years old or newer.
So imo, ride it for a year and see if you think it would be worth having, you can always ad it later....

I second that...I just extended mine with Jim. Mine is a 07 and i am at 64000 miles so it's a good investment for me...i have used it to the tune of about $2500 up to now...
