Default Tour pack problems

Ran into my first problem with my ultra classic...hope my "forum family" can help me with this one...
Tour pack, '98 ultra classic anni' edition...tour pack mounting frame cracked...found a new one on ebay...ordered it, got it, set it on bench...today, finally got my "alone" time to rip off the broken one...(confession time: it was cracked on one side and I rode for a month to work before the other side finally cracked. lol)...upon pulling off the "pack", I noticed that the original has a sort of pop rivet-fastening style nut that did not come with the replacement.... Full circle to the problem now...Does anyone know the actual term for these style nuts, are they available, and where I might be able to buy them? As of now, I'm without my tour pack, wiring zip tied under my seat which is a stock set up which looks god-forsaken-AWFUL! lol
Help me out my family!

Your description sounds like a Tuesday nut. Someone with a similar bike may have a better answer.

Your local hardware store may stock these unusual nuts. Meaning a Tru-Value or Ace type place.

post a pic. Could it be a solid rivet? Ran into them on my tour pack when disassembling for paint.

Sounds like you are talking about a "Rivnut" They work a lot like a pop rivet and the installation is similar. Google it you will come back with more than you ever wanted to know.

Yep again.
You will need a rivnut tool to install them.

When putting the armrest on mine, I just drilled through and nut and bolted it back on.
