I ask you, what kind of Harley rider would use such artifice as 'cruise control'? Next, we'll be beefing up our frames, putting 180mm tires on the back from the factory, and installing 103ci engines 'stock'. (Like these things could ever really happen. Sheesh...) Seriously though, if you find your wrist wearing-out before a long day's ride is through, do what your forefathers in Panhead Days did--duct tape a stick to your wrist. Using a common, roadside stick to brace one's wrist in such a manner, there's literally no limit to how far a man can push himself in a single day on his bike. Likely your kidneys will give out from the relentless jostling and you'll succumb to uremic delirium and leave your bike and wander insensible into a den of starving coyotes before you'll be ready to stop 'twisting the grip'--with a stick stuck to your wrist.

I personally have a cruise control installed on my Road King. Not that I like it much, or personally use it...except in the most dire emergency. It's just gotten so hard to find a good stick along the roadside, sometimes you have to relent and give in to profligate excess (though it sickens one). But I assure you, any time a good stick can be found, I leave the cruise 'ON' button untouched, and instead dig out the duct tape... This rabbit hopping back and forth endlessly with a pancake atop his head should prove to you that I mean business in this matter. A-men...

Alan

I love the electronic cruise control on my Road King! Sure it's kind of useless in the city, but when you're out on the open highways... it sure is a great feature to have.

Good luck with your decision.

When I ride alone (which is 90% of the time) I use it all the time.
It has more than paid for itself in no getting speeding tickets.

I love it! I never knew what I was missing. I even use it to wave at riders on my right side.

I guess I am going to invest in it. Everybody has given positive responses. I will probably get it and use it and think how did I live without it. The same thought I got when I had my radio installed. Thanks everyone for the response. Ride safe.
