I replace the vertical brackets on my '07 SG once and both horizontal ones at the same time twice. An individual horizontal bracket was replaced on 4 or 5 other separate occasions.
I'm sure glad I don't have your luck... Both of my horizontal brackets were broke at the speaker mounts. I got the repair kit for both the horizontal and vertical brackets. Went ahaed and repaired the vertical ones before they broke.
Didn't look into getting new ones from the MOCO, read to many post like yours about multiple failures. Also didn't know they had redesigned the MOCO brackets. Is the redesign for ALL model years or just the newer 09 up frames?

Since the design of the batwing hasn't changed, I would imagine that the brackets are the same. Quick call to any H-D parts department would answer that ?.
HD changed the design of the brackets a couple years ago. I replaced the horizontal brackets this summer myself in about an hour for less than 20 bucks. That would be the ones where the speaker attaches.

The vertical brackets don't need to be replaced if they break. I performed a simple fix and they've held through almost three years and one accident. Here are two how-to threads:
The new "improved" brackets still suck, best fix is the cheap L brackets from the hardware store, quicker too. I agree with the OP, this should have been corrected by now, it's comical how many folks think the MOCO has addreseed this problem adequately, with their 4-5 iterations of improved brackets, yet new bikes are still experiencing broken brackets.
