Apparently it does. The dyno sheet from the dealer at the time of the upgrade showed 5500 rpm before and 6250 rpm after the tuner was installed. In the case of the SE Pro Tuner it is nothing more than a go-between box. It is plugged in-line during the dyno runs. The computer the shop uses talks through the SEPT box to the ECM. All adjustments are stored in the ECM and the SEPT. The serial number is registered to my particular bike/ECM. So, I guess the limiter is reset to 6250 over the stock 5500.
