Has anybody seen the 2012 white pearl color and, if so, do you have an opinion about it and also, what about the new tubeless profile laced wheels?
I've been waiting a few years for the Ultra to be available in white and I haven't seen one in person in the 2012 white yet. Also, the tubeless laced rims look great in the pic on the Harley site.
BTW, has the MOCO got the slowest site on the web or what??
I had a set of the new tubeless spoked wheels put on my 2011 RKC as part of my purchase agreement. They look like the tube type "Profile laced wheel" that Harley has had for a few years. The inside of the wheel has a different profile to accomodate a wide rubber-like seal that covers the entire inside of the rim (picture an oversized rim strip). I really like the looks of them, hoping they will hold air over the long haul.
I am the proud owner of a 2012 FLHTCU, White Hot Pearl, with color matched painted inner fairing, chrome legs, spun aluminum gauges, Chubby Wild 1 touring bars, pretty much chrome everywhere possible, Boom audio, GPS with XM, Badass Brake light, LED lights up front all the way across and Caliper mounted Motolights, tour pack premium rack, accessory 12v socket in trunk, moved out the footboards an inch with HarleyGoodies extensions, pretty much looks like an SE bike, according to what everyone says who sees it. Gets lots of looks and lots of compliments. If you go to the HD web site and look at the FLHTCU site and click on the customization option, you will see what my bike closely resembles. However, I built it in my head and from the parts book telling my parts and sales guys what I wanted. When I finished, they told me there was a look alike in the book and on-line and they showed me. Great minds think alike I guess.
Here are some pics, one is coming home from the dealer upon pickup in the pouring rain and the other two are on Skyline Drive when it was slightly nicer; 1,000+ miles in a week. Good times...

They'll hold air forever, the design is very near the same as American Wire Wheel has been doing for a long time. I've had a set of theirs on my shovelhead for 11 years and the only time I add air is when I change the tires.
Be sure to look at one in the sunlight. Sale floor lights do it no justice. Basicly it's just the white pearl with loads of metal flake in it. Really glitters in the sun light.
