throttle cable help

Default throttle cable help

i sold my 2010 sg and bought a 2005 electraglide se
i am currently changing out to 16 inch monkey bars this bike has the throttle cables.

i cannot get the throttle cables out of the housing, i looked at my new cables and it looks like it has some kinda clip holding it into the housing

what am i missing how do i get this cable to come out of the housing
i have ordered new manual for this bike and jus havent got it yet

Its just a retention clip you just have to muscle it out bend to one side and twist as our pulling it. It is aggrivating

thanks is the clip on the inside of the housing or is it on the out side?

inside. Ive used a awl before and just pryed it out. especially if your replacing the cables

ok thanks i called a hd dealer earlier and they said to just pull and it would come out. so do i need to pry this clip out or just pull?

Just pull the MF & it will pop out!

Just pull but if you cant get it to pull out then youll have to get the retaining clip off. Just dont break your housing.

If you pull straight down, it should pop right out. You do have to pull fairly hard.

tried pulling last night and they were woo tight i took a flathead screwdriver and a hammer and hit them and they popped right out
thanks to all for the help

got all wiring soldered together last night and will try to pull the wires thru tonight
