Code b1155?
While I know the b1155 trouble code is for "neutral switch input short to battery", I'm not sure where to start the troubleshooting process. This code came on while on the way home today. No unusual situations or behavior - just the engine light and this stored code. Where to go next?
Codes B1154 and B1155 may occur if the vehicle is ridden with the clutch disengaged (pulled in) at speeds greater than 10 mph for more than 60 seconds. If that is case, no worries just clear the code. Otherwise, see attached.
Thanks Dawg. This is a good start, but I have to concede ignorance, as I don't know what the "HFSM" is (or where it is) and what is a "Breakout Box HD-42682"?
BTW, did not ride with the clutch pulled-in for any extended period or speed, so I don't think that was the cause of the code. I did clear the code last night. When I left the house this morning, I noticed that the light came on briefly before I left the driveway, then vanished, and I never saw it again during my ~16-mile commute. I won't have a chance to see if the same code was re-stored until I get home this evening.

HFSM= Hands Free Security module. Same as TSSM and on your 09 it should be behind the side panel on the right side of bike. Breakout box is a diagnostic tool I believe. I wonder if you have a loose connection on your switch?
I'm thinking the same thing (lose connection) or maybe just replacing the switch. The online chat seems to suggest a LOT of instances of bad switches - with some people needing to replace them multiple times. I also looked into "breakout boxes" and now understand what they are. They aren't cheap (probably more than the cost of the switch.....WAY more). Now I've got to figure-out where that darned switch is....LOL!
Its on your transmission forward the fill hole. Should have 2 wires coming out. I cant remember what size wrench it remove it. Pretty straight forward

Just wondering if this code would come up with bike on center lift with wheels off ground and it was started? When I start it the rear wheel spins in neutral but I can stop It with my hand and if i set it down it dosen't move at all until put into gear. This is a new code i cleared it but it came right back .
Not really wanting to take it out and get stuck knowing there is a issue...
Thanks in advance
