Header Question
05Train....Can you elaborate a little on your statement the 2:1:2 Fullsac and Jackpot are superior to V&H Power Dual header? I know looks can be deceiving but all 3 pipes look identical in build. I am in the market and ready to purchase new headers for my 11 FLHTCU but everday I read something different on the pros/cons of each.
Thanks for the visual, do you have a similar chart showing the same stock pipe with and without a cat. I personally don't need convinced, but most folks here tend to value your input as the gospel, so you could lay this foolish argument to rest, at least for this week. I don't have any experience with the stock 2:1:2 pipe, but if it is like my stock 2:1 then the outlets will be choked down about an 1/8" compared to your SS pipe, that alone would explain the 5 HP/TQ difference.

While the differences are already apparent on the completely stock bike, they become even more significant with intake, mufflers and tuning.

The Fullsac uses a stepped design. The CVO forum's pretty big on this pipe. It was a non-starter for me, as I ride year-round, road salt be damned, and I wanted a stainless steel pipe with a lifetime warranty.
The V&H Power Duals, aside from limiting cornering clearance (and that's a real issue for me), don't have enough separation between the O2 sensors, and allow crosstalk. V&H is aware of the problem and doesn't care. Then there's the general construction that's shown in Jamie's photos.
Edited to add - The Jackpot and the Fullsac headers were designed by riders and tuners, the V&H was mass-produced by a large company. Steve and Jamie are both active on several forums and get direct feedback from their customers, who can you talk to at V&H? Aside from the fact that I think the Jackpot is a superior pipe, Jamie's service is second to none.

I don't doubt the cornering clearnace, it's limited with the Dresser Duals too.
I have heard good things about the Pro Pipe and will also say their fitment and quality is very good.
I ended up doing an '09 Header with the T-Max so no worries with crosstalk with those.
