I've had to park my bike on slight side slopes where a longer stand would have been beneficial, but also on opposite slopes where if the stand was any longer than stock the bike could easily tip over to the right.
I think the stock lenth is a perfect compromise for a stock height bike. But that's only my opinion... Others may have differing opinions.
So do i...a longer jiffy stand will make it more upright.
you want a shorter one.

Maybe I didn't explain correctly. I have a 2010 Street Glide that comes with an 18" tire from the factory. When I changed it to the 21" rim/tire, it raised the front approximately 1". To address the difference you can either put a longer kickstand or lower the front end with shorter springs. Since I'm 6 feet tall I decided to go with a longer kickstand to address the above. Putting a shorter kickstand would make the bike lean more.
PM designed and manufactured the kickstand specifically for those that did the 21" front tire mod.
