Default another garage remote question

i've had the HD garage door opener kit. and been pleased with it. it recently quit working. since i dont get a led light on the reciever, i assume its gone out. my question is can i still use the HD transmitter to work with my garage door without buying another $80 HD receiver? thanks

Yes you can buy individual components of that unit.

Unplug the receiver, wait a few seconds and plug it back. I have had the same problem from time to time.

I'm getting a replacement receiver from the dealer again. First one did not work at all, would not pass a continuity check, second one worked for three weeks , about 15 openings and then went dead. I have disconnected and reconnected but can not get the red light to come on. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I got this little garage door opener from Amazon and keep it on my keychain.

I've had it for over three years now and it continues to work flawlessly.

someone here, I forget who rigged up another odometer butting on his fairing for his garage door, I would love some info on that, something like that beats paying out the nose at the dealer

I did something simular. Just leave the battery out and wire it to your high beam switch. A lotta the remotes are powered by 12 volts. I've used the same remote on 3 different bikes.
Sorry for high jacking the thread...
