Default HD bag extensions

Had the HD saddlebag extensions on my Street Glide and loved the look, now I have a new 12' Roadglide, and would like to put them on it.. Herein lies the question .. does anyone have a set somewhere that can measure them to see EXACTLY how far up they come on the side of the stock bag from the bottom ??? maybe by measuring from the inside ??? all my local dealers dont stock them and cant help me.. My new bike has pinstriping on the side of the bag and I dont want to get into a situation where the extension partially covers it and makes it look stupid...Thanks

Why not actually put usable stretched bags on instead?

You still need to paint them too dont you?

I was looking at the Cyclesmith extensions since they come powdercoated gloss black or chrome.

Buy'em, Paint'em, install'em..... still look like an afterthought.. Hell I rarely see a set of molded extensions that you can't see where they were put together...
To each his own.....guess thats what makes the world go round.

Good luck with you mods and hope the paint matches up. I am a fan of true stretched bags, but I can see why many would shy away from the cost. The extra room does come in handy. But that's my opinion. As long as it puts a smile on your face that's really all that matters. Ride safe.

There not going on my sled. Just save for stretch bags. I am going to leave it at that. I don't want to bash others pride and joy.
