Hammock seat differences
Does anybody know what the differences are between the "Harley Hammock Rider and Passenger Touring Seat" (52000003) and "Harley Hammock Rider Touring Seat" (53051-09)?
I know one has the hammock for just the rider and the other one has it for both but I just don't understand why someone would by the Harley Hammock Rider Touring Seat when you can get the rider AND passenger for the same price.

If that is true they are both still available. The rider only has a wider look to it,but does that mean it isn't comfortable for passenger? The rider & passenger seat doesn't look as wide for the rider, but is it the same comfort? Very strange to me,but oh well.

I've had both. I had the rider only when got the cvo. I figured they were the same basic seat just the newer seat had both the rider and passenger as a hammock seat. So i sold my rider only seat to my riding buddy,a mistake I regret. The rider only seat pushes the rider about 1" to an 1 1/2" further back from the tank. I really liked that riding position. The dual hammock seat with heat I have sits you in the same position as a stock seat. I like the heat but would rather sit further back. It puts my hips in a more comfortable position while using the floorboards. The both sit about the same height.
You can tell the difference because the rider only says Harley-Davidson on each side of the passenger section.
I've seen a few for sale but not 1 for what I sold mine for so I keep looking.
