Yep, Eastern Penn makes the same battery and puts different brand names on it like Deka, Big Crank, HD, etc.
Today while at my local dealer, a guy just purchased a new Harley Davidson battery. He paid a whopping $ 180 to fit his 2009 Street Glide. See Deka\East Penn Manufacturing write up below. It's getting to the point you can by a equal Harley battery for about half of what a Harley dealer is charging. Sure get tired of HD sticking to its customers.
Deka Company Description

Under the Deka brand, the company manufactures batteries that provide juice to everything from farm equipment and road signs to vans and snowmobiles. East Penn also makes battery cables, starter cable, terminals, and other accessories. OEM customers include Daimler Trucks North America, Deere & Company, and Harley-Davidson. The company exports its products worldwide. East Penn chairman DeLight Breidegam Jr. controls the company, which he and his father founded in 1946.
Once again this forum proves to be the best education on harley motorcycles by getting through the minutiae and exposing facts you can make an informed decision on, Thanks all for your input.
By the way I decided to go with the Deka ETX30L $89. on line. I agree there are better choices then the produts offered by the HD stealer, one day they might figure it out.
I still have the original battery in my '04 RK but the added compression from last winter's 95" build has slowed the cranking a bit. I believe Auto Zone sells Deka motorcycle batteries.
