Default Smart Siren II on CVO Ultra??

I got a new smart siren FOB awhile back as a gift. I tried tying it to the security system on my '10 CVO Ultra but soon realized I needed the Smart Siren II module added to the existing security system.

What does this SIREN do? I already have a siren that sounds after two warning chirps but the security system obviously doesn't have the ability to alert the FOB unless I install the Smart Siren II module. If I DO install it what does it do? Does it SOUND OFF too (i would have two sirens going off if someone jacked with the bike), or does it simply send a signal to the FOB?

Heard it's an easy install so might try it to get the FOB to work, just wondering what the module does other than alert the FOB.

the smart siren II will send a signal to the fob (not the fob that came with the bike but the security fob you got that works inconjuction with the smart siren II)
when the bike is moved with out the bikes fob the siren will go off and send a alert to the security fob witch will alert you that the bike has been fu-ked with

It's not a FOB, it's a pager. You need the smart siren II. The siren is also a radio transmitter that alerts the pager when the siren is tripped. The smart siren II also has it's own battery backup, so it will still alert you, even if your bike battery is disconnected.

Got it...it's not a FOB. You're correct. A pager. So it's not actually a sounding device (like the one on my existing security system). It just sends a signal to the pager.

No, it is a siren, and a sending unit.

The smart siren II adds audible AND paging ability to the alarm system

The pager can be set to vibrate, audible alarm or both!

I was wondering about that myself. Looking for a system right now.
