Alarm Systems
I am thinking of upgrading the security system on my 2005 FLSTCI to a Smart Sire 2, if you have the smart pager does the alarm automatically disarm when you are within a certain distance from the bike with the pager unit?

No, you just will not get the beeping on the pager. My experience with the pager is that the battery wears out quick and it is not worth it. I have the siren but my other bike has no siren and like the bike without the siren better.

I had the rechargeable pager with the Smart Siren 2. I like the siren as it gives a good audio alarm. However the rechargeable pager did not hold a charge long. Had to recharge it every time before we went out. I will be getting the smart siren 2 for my new bike. However, I will get the pager that takes batteries and just keep an extra set with me.
the pager doesnot disarm the alarm, you need the fob for that.
