I bought a seat off the forum from a member who had a RKC like me , So my fault but I assumed the seat would fit, Esp since in a thread I started a week ago about seats he wrote I have a seat for sale for you etc...
Anyway I get the seat only to find afterwards the seller never had the seat on his bike, Its a corbin the year is right but its a RKFC-97 Dash, The dash is why it wont fit, I have a classic so from research I found the rkfc-97 would fit and the rkfc-97-dash is for the screaming eagle dash which I dont have.
My post isnt about the seller,Its probly my fault, I should have not assumed it came of his bike, my question is what can I do other then get the (IMHO) the ugly dash. Will C & C be able to make it fit?
I wont know till tomorrow, Seem like the spot the tab goes in is 4/5 inches up the tank from what ive read and see, I hate to have to list and sell this seat now, This dash piece on the tank is rare an the seat is awesome, I just wish IT FIT MY BIKE
I took a hammer to the tab under the seat and smacked it down a bit, then I was able to get the nose on an the two bolts to line up but it doesn't look right with the chrome dash the RKC has. But I feel I actually sit higher then the orginal seat. My feet arent as close to the ground, Will a mustang be better?
