Great story. I dopn't get all the bad rep the ESP gets. It's just like any insurance policy, not worth it unles you need it, then worth every penny. In my case I had something go through my oil pump at around 17,000 miles. We couldn't fine anything in the cam area that broke (other than the oil pump) so we wanted to get into the bottom end. ESP didn't want to pay for it at first, then relented and gave the go ahead. I decided that since it was down, and they were picking up the labor it would be a good time to go with the 110. So all in all, I have very little money in my 110".

For the OP, if you were considering cams, it might be a good time to do them, since ESP will be paying the labor and part, you'd only be out the cost of the cams.

Forgive me but I'm missing the part about "the good news"......

You don't mentioned how many miles are on your scoot; but I'm guessing not many and now you have to do the bottom end - that's good news....

You talk about the extended warranty; as if it's a gift - I believe you PAY for that.....that's the good news....

Or is it that the HD Stealer TOLD you about what you have purchased....that must be the "good news".....

I am happy for you, but I don't understand why it took 7 months for the dealer figured it out.
I understand the delaer not looking it up the first time (people can be lazy/not an excuse, just a fact) but why did they check on it 7 months later?

Hell, even with my crappy memory I remembered my ESP when I had to have my cases resealed. In fact, that's ALL I COULD THINK OF!
