Have one ordered. I will be happy if I can get 12K out of them. Currently 8K is about the best I get out of a rear tire. Don't know how in the world y'all get 15-19K!!!!
Just got my new Commander II delivered today for the rear. Got 11,500 out of that tire. Bought it at 6k miles and the rear was horribly cupped. Getting it installed on Sunday, hope for 15k but would really like to see 20k on it. Bought it on Amazon for $170 shipped.
Alot cheaper than the Dunlops!

Cheaper than Dunlop for NOW, if they get 20 k on average they will be going up I am sure.
I've been looking and have found them on line for my 06 front and rear total $242. And they are quoting that they will last twice as long as the competter's tire about 24000. This sounds good to me I HATE the 402's on it now The E-3's I had on my 93 handled great and lasted 9000 in S.FL. My question is how do they handle in the rain?

From the web site new standard in cruiser tire longevity
Commissioned third-party tests* show that the MICHELINŽ CommanderŽ II rear tire lasts almost twice as long as its main competitors*
*Tests conducted by Texas Test Fleet in 2011 on public roads comparing MICHELIN Commander II, Metzeler ME880 and Dunlop D407/408 in sizes 130/80 B 17 (front) and 180/65 B 16 (rear). Individual results may vary depending on motorcycle type and operating conditions.
Too bad the f*ckers won't be making front tires for the new generation Street Glides. As per an email from them, Michelin has no plans in making a front tire in the size I need for my bike (130/70B18; they do, however, make the rear tire size: 180/65B16).
I have 2 of the new comanders on the way from Jake Wilson, I hope they wear better than the E-3's I am taking off. I fell for the E-3 hype on this forum and was less than pleased with the wear on the edges. There is still plenty of tread on the middle of the E-3's after about 10k but the edges are cupped like crazy. I never had this cupping with the factory Dunlops, so my experiance with the E-3's is ok tire for the money (cheap). smooth ride at first but poor ride after half wore out. I guess you get what you pay for. I have always had good experiances with Michelin car tires so I hope these new comanders are better than the E-3's.
