Flush mount component tweeters
This mod might not be for everyone as you have to take material away from where the inner mounts to the top holes of your fairing bracket. I used a two inch hole saw. Took my time and worked just fine. Then used a carbide bit on a air grinder to take material away for the tweeter cup to sit flush. The tweeter cups come with all you need to mount. Slide tweeter cup into the inner fairing with metal flanges on. Tighten the screw to tighten the flanges on the back side of the inner fairing. Slide tweeter wires through holes, and push tweeter in to its final resting spot. Here's a pict.
I had to remove enough... do I think it will be secure? I hope so
It's all pretty darn stiff yet. I had a broken fairing bracket that I had to fix also. I'm still debating on putting some kind of epoxy to secure the tweeter cups to the braces on the back of the inner..... time will tell I guess.
