Anyone out there using saddlebag extensions rather than buying the whole bag? If so how are they holding up?

 

I have read/heard good things about the fit & finish about the Bad Dad ones. If that helps

 

the seams always bothered me on a single color paint job. if you two tone them you can hardly tell and they look like stretched bags.

 

For the labor and time and seam that shows buy some already stretched. I spent a lot of time trying to get rid of the seam. I can spot it even on bad dad bags done by them.
Eastern Preformance has some nice sets.

 

I bought the full bags from bad dad, my cousin bought the extensions, little bit of mud and you cant tell the difference from looking at them.

 

Anyone using extended bags w/ V&H Monster Ovals?

 

I think you would be limited to extensions and a fair amount of trimming. MOs are a big a$$ muffler. For a fully extended bag to fit, there would be no gain in interior volume, thus negating the benefits of stretched bags. But then again, I don't manufacture stretched bags......
