speaker adapters Update: Went with Throttle Up, Incredibly Satisfied!
Im going to order some speaker adapters. I read a couple of threads on here about some different brands. I can find some of them, some I cant.
Im wondering if anyone has tried the $15 ones on ebay. I know you usually get what you pay for, and they look significantly different from the $50 arc audio ones.
Input is appreciated...Id love to save some money if it works.

what ever you use, drill a weep hole ( or make a channel with a file ) at the bottom so rain and wash water can drain rather than sit against the speaker

Great idea...I was thinking about this the other day...because im sure water will end up in there.
damm, I just finished putting my faring back on about 15 minutes ago. I got the arc adapters, good quality but the instructions are clear as mud, and the phillips head screws are just a little harder then butter.
They ones on ebay may work, but the dragonfly's have a smooth transition between the different size holes. The ebay ones are just squared off. Probably not noticeable as far as sound quality, but with my Klock Werks grilles, you can see the speakers and adapters (especially with my LED's on).
From looking at pictures of the ARC ones, they look identical to the Dragonfly ones.
One other word of advice is to be sure to use the correct length screws in the adapters to the fairing. Its been a while, but if i remember correctly, one hole on each side isn't as deep as the others and you can screw completely through the fairing if the screw is too long.
I can't remember if they came with different length screws or if i just used some shorter ones i had laying around.
My cycle Sounds adapters warned about using the short screw for one of the mounting holes. Problem was, all the screws that came with the adapters were the same size, short! I dug up some longer screws, but measure carefully so you don't screw through the inner fairing.
I ended up doing a lot of research here, there and what seemed to be everywhere. I settled on the Throttle Up Industries, due to the slightly lower $40 price tag and the fact that they are CNC machined plastic rather than ABS.
I AM SO GLAD I WENT WITH THROTTLE UP.
The install was a breeze, I had one question so I called their support line. I spoke with Aaron who was very knowledgeable and went quite in depth in answering my question. We spoke for another 10 minutes or so about the setup I went with (none of the other parts were his products) and he was very reassuring about what I was doing.
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THROTTLE UP INDUSTRIES to anyone who may be thinking about buying something from them. Good guys!
