me and wife put it over ,much less with a weeks worth of luggage.if u ride solo look at a backseat bag,if its safe to haul 200#person luggage will go there really nice without affecting handling much.

Hi Steve, from the UK. What year is your bike? The recent models should be fine, but earlier bikes, with the MT rear tyre are marginal, especially on the rear tyre. You can upgrade to an MU tyre, which improves things. My wife and I plus bike are around 1200 pounds ready to roll, so I swapped from MT to MU.
Just traded my 95 on a new 2011 FLTHK. As far a losing weight well I am always working on it but i am realistic. As far as no fat chicks well I fly the no skinny chicks flag. I prefer my woman with some meat on them.
I see some pretty big loads going down the road pretty regularly. I know they are way over max load but never seem to read about crashes caused buy an overload. At least around here the crashes are drug/alcohol, cage drivers fault or some youth on a sport bike.
