Exclamation CD player will not eject disc.

Anyone know of a good and safe way to get a cd out of the cd player? I have one stuck. It was playing just fine, then I wanted to change it. Hit the eject button but nothing happened. Tried several times with no luck. When you cycle the band select button sometimes it will stop on cd selection for few seconds but then move on to the next band. Sometimes it will not even stop on the cd band it goes from am-fm-fm2-weatherband-am and so on. My bike is an 05 model ultra classic. This really sux, got to have my tunes for the road.......any help is greatly appreciated.

Not that it'll help you but I had the same problem with mine on my 2010. Dealer replaced the radio as there was no way for them to fix it.

sometimes you can get them out with tweezers while your pressing eject. in my truck I beat on the dash and they come out sometimes. I have a H/K radio that's almost brand new sitting in my toolbox if you are interested just haven't tried to sell it yet. PM me if you want it

You might want to give Iron Cross Audio a call. They might be able to advise you and, worst case, they will fix the radio and provide a 1 year warranty for $250. They also have some neat mods available. You can call them at 201-207-7157 .

Some time ago there was a tech tip on the Hog Tunes site about stuck CDs that recommended going for a ride with powered on with the door opened.

Forget the cd and do yourself a favor and get a mp3 player which you can plug right into the aux plug on the front of the radio. my cd kept skipping so i don't use it anymore.

I work in IT & have a set of long needle nose pliers which work quite well for getting into tight spaces. Too bad HD/HK stereo doesn't have the little eject hole you can poke w/paperclip...good luck!

Yes, on my 05 radio to the right of the Power button is the AUX plug.

Get one of these:

I have one that is about 2 ft long and keep my mp3 player in my windshield bag.

I had the same thing happen. I pulled my Maxi Fuse for a few minutes, went for a bumpy ride with the cd door open, and it popped right out, never a problem since, but I do not play CD's very often, I plug my iPhone in for tunes.
