yeah,,yeah,, i know that radios are all the rage...But with my 165hp N/A bagger i dont listen to it anymore. I rather hear the sweet sounds of my wegner exhuast..lol That and figure it would kill about 25lbs off the bike with the speakers too.
Had anyone done or seen anything cool to go there besides the oem style pouch that hd sells..
Also, what are dead HK units going for these days.
Yeah, this bike will never be sold. I have had it since new and resale is not a worry for me...Rather loose the weight off the bike than have a dead radio there. Yeah i though about iron cross and may do that but was looking for other options first.

If it were me, I'd probably just make a plate out of aluminum and paint it to match the inner fairing to cover the opening. The storage pouch HD sells is pretty cheap looking, but makes a nice place to stash stuff.
As for a dead HK unit, I would contact Iron Cross and find out what they are paying for them. Then set-up an eBay auction with a reserve set at what IC would pay. If it sells on eBay your money ahead. If it doesn't meet reserve you could just take the IC offer.
Back when the MoCo was selling the Electra Glide Standard, it didn't come with a radio. I was thinking that it just had a cubbie hole or something, where the head unit would go.

Yup, i ordered one of those. I am going to install that and try to make a custom door for it. We will see how it goes.
piesik650, its a custom 117 motor i built. Wood tw68 cams and baisley heads...lots of other stuff in there as well. Now running a weger pipe and 62mm t-body as well.
