Default Street Glide to Ultra Classic Gauge Question

I have a 2006 Ultra Classic. I am currently painting my inner fairing to match the Gloss Vivid Black Body Color. I want to switch to the Street Glide Silver Face Gauges. Can anyone tell me how many of the SIX (Speedo, Tach, Volts, Oil Pressure, Fuel, and Air Temp) 2011 Street Glide Gauges will work on my 2006 Ultra Classic and which ones??? Thank you in advance for your response. Bob

I think the wiring changed in 2008.

I don't have a definte answer but I think my situation is just about identical:

In 2010 I got a new set of the aluminum faced guages and put them in my 2005 EGC. They wired the same and have not had a problem.

Hope this helps

I was thinking that most of them would work as well. Someone told me the switch from the 5 gallon tank to the 6 gallon effects the fuel gauge and the speedometer has an ABS Light that illuminates because my bike does not have ABS. I was hoping someone on this forum would have performed a similar upgrade and knew the differences. Thanks again. I really appreciate the expertise and ideas. Bob

Default Gauge swap

I put 09 street glide gauges on my 06 ultra and had a few problems. #1 was ABS light on, No ABS on bike #2 No cruise control. #3 Fuel gauge pinned, #4 low fuel light incorrect. Why ? Because they have different values. The 06 fuel gauge is 80-14 ohms and the newer one is 252-40 ohms. Probably the same problem within the the speedometer just no markings to tell. As far as the ABS light. I cut the power wire going into the tach (orange with white stripe.) ABS light out but now the cruise control light does not come on but the cruise control works properly. ABS light on told the cruise control not to work. Guess I should have done a little more research before just swapping parts that looked like they would work.

Default 2005 to 2012 gauges

I am doing the same redoing an 05 Electra Glide and a friend gave me a nice set of 2012 Ultra Classic gauges since he upgraded to digital . Was wondering if they are going to work ... seems like I may have a few issues/light that stay on ect......

Don't seen worth it with ohms being different.
