replacing tires
is it common not to change the valve stems when putting on new tires?
I had a rear tire put on my ultra, the valve stem is leaking air, and the shop wants to charge me for replacing the valve stem. the tire was put on in Oct. I would think that a new valve stem would be part of the install. It is with my car.

Every shop I ve worked at replaces valve stems with every tire. Its ignorant not to, but for some reason three of our current techs dont see the need.
Tell them they should have done it when changing the tire and your not paying for thier stupidity.
