ok guys I have a buddy that is installing some new gauges on my 2011 ultra limited he said that you have to loose the air gauge on the bottom left now I have not real paid any attention to this gauge he says its for the air for the air ride the dealer says its for the air temp out side which one is it

 

The gauge you're referring to is simply there to measure the ambient air temperature. I went with oil temp gauge when I changed mine.
Do you HAVE to do it? Of course not

Air temp. It's useless and that's where the new oil temp gauge goes in it's place.

 

thank you for the quick answers it turns out my damn good indy isn't so damn good lol he is trying to tell me it measures the air pressure in the back wtf
