Default Backrest question

I have a '12 Ultra Limited, I also have the tour pak detach kit so occassionally I will pull the TP off and when I do that, I have a Roadglide seat that I put on for a more sleaker look.
My question is, I would like to get a back reast and am wondering would I have any problems using it regardless of which seat is on the bike.

I don't see why you would, as either seat is capable of supporting a back rest.

I have an 07 Ultra with the same set up. I use the same back rest (Mustang)
on either seat.

Would you mind posting a picture of what the bike looks like with the tour pak off and the seat on ? I am picking up my Ultra Saturday with the quick detach also and am thinking along the same lines, thanks

I also have the removable TP kit. I picked up a SG seat on ebay that I just sent to Mean City. I have the adjustable back rest, so I got another pad to match the SG seat pattern. I'm going to have to have a couple inches cut off of it as it sits too high with the SG seat.
