The worst part was 2 miles into the trip the buddy i was riding was t boned. He was able to keep his bike up. No injuries to him but the bike has some damage but none that would keep us from riding here.
Then on the 2nd day while riding in St Louis in a thunderstorm I laid my bike down on the ramp to get on I64. Damaged everything on the right side of the bike. Only bruises on me. So we pushed on and now we're here with two messed up bikes!
Bikes can be repaired or replaced. Good to see you both made it safe. Might see you in Laughlin. Just look for sharks.
Vegas is only 100 miles away so I took a quick ride down there on my day off. 72F, 10mph wind, and complete cloud cover so no sun and not a drop of rain. Venders still setting up at lunch time with no crowds and easy parking everywhere, I know it will be a different story on Saturday when I head back down.
Leaving tomorrow morning from SoCal. Hope there are some good vendors there and not just like t-shirts and stuff. It was pretty bad last time I was there in 08. Going to ride out to Oatman and Kingman on Friday or Saturday. A good time will be had by all!!! Stay safe and a little sane!
Work is keeping me from overnight stays but I will be able to make a day trip on Saturday. Looking forward to visiting the Newcastle Beer Trailer again.
4 bikes from Gilbert are leaving at 9:30 am Friday for a 5 hour ride. I'm Staying in Bullhead, a couple staying in Laughlin and a couple more friends camping along the river. As long as the wind and rain are under control, it should be a great weekend.
Bring your sunblock!
I'm here now. When you come in, be careful! The Las Vegas Metro is in Full Force! I counted 10 Squad Cars and Trucks in Searchlight and two along Route 95 with ccars stopped. That is not counting those in Laughlin itself. It is thick.
