Thunder Max TBW
On a 2010 Limited 103 I installed Rush duals, Arlen Ness breather, and a Thunder Max TBW. It runs fine with an improvement in performance, although not what I was expecting, no popping in decel. But the MPG went to hell, down to less than 35, if I really ride ride for mileage I might get up in the upper 30's, previously it be around 40. I've run the auto-support and tech support had change the auto tune setting, No better MPG. I've only run 3 or 4 tanks of fuel. Anybody have any ideas

I presume it has the SE-255 CAMs in it? I have a 2008 Ultra Classic and put the SE 103 Stage 2 kit in it. This came with the SE-255 cams. My mileage with this cam just sucked and was around 33-35 MPG. Even doing the auto-tune with the Thundermax it did not get much better. You can go into Thundermax to lean the AFR's out if you want as they tend to be pretty rich 13-14 AFR. That will help. I recently changed my CAM out to a Reaper 574 (which has more torque and wider torque band) and I am already getting much better gas mileage.

with the base map u have now the tuner is learning your riding style. after 50 to a hundred miles u need to run auto tune. do this at least 3 to 4times and u will see a increase in gas mileage. how much i couldnt tell ya with your bike.mine went from 31.6 mpg to 40 mpg if i cruise if iam riding hard like i do most of the time 35 mpg thats not bad for me iam good with that. also i dont know how long u have had your thundermax but they now have newer software that really smoothes the bike out. for that u have to upgrade your firmware.
