I had the heads ported and polished on a 2010 RK. I had the intake/exhast and a lot of other things apart (I guess if you are a mechanic, you know what it takes to remove the heads). The engine ran really good right after the heads were placed back on, but it has developed a miss until it gets warmed up. It is very pronounced, but it only lasts a couple of miles. No codes are thrown. Once warm, it really runs well.
I have the tank off again today and checking intake exhaust bolts to make sure they are tight. What else could be warming with the engine and tightening up? Could it be a head gasket? Should I ensure that the headbolts are still torqued to specs?
Just tossing this out there. Could one of your head pipes have loosened up a bit and started leaking at the head. I've personally had this happen and a resultant miss. Might be worth checking. Good luck with the troubleshooting.
I've got the SE Pro Super Tuner installed. I have torqued the head pipe nuts a little more. None seemed overly loose.
I guess I'll put her back together and see what I get. Maybe I'll just have to break down and take her to the dealer for a $500 check up. They'll probably not find anything either.
