I'm super happy my back order came in early. Ive had the disks and bearings in my garage for a few weeks. I ordered the tire from Latus HD that is scheduled to arrive on Monday. The bike is coming together slowly, but that's the joy of it.
Tire finally showed up. Got it mounted this morning, threw some dynabeads in and installed. The instructions on the bearings were pretty good, but the tire mounting instructions are soooo wrong, or not sync'd with Dunlop. The instructions say if the wheel has a green dot, match the white dot on the tire to the green dot.....well that would put the tire in the opposite direction of rotation. The instructions say if the wheel has a yellow dot, the white dot goes on the opposite side, so confusing. Anyway, the bearing install was pretty straight forward, the embossed side of the wheel is the primary side and the ABS bearing side (no poop). Got it all sorted out and installed. Me, wifey and daughter are riding Skyline Drive today, ride safe all!!!!
p.s. I'm not buying the talk about back order reasons for the Austrailia/China production runs. Mine took about 3 weeks to arrive and is an Aussie wheel.
Just finished the better part of a 6 hour ride with no issues. Got a chance to run it up to around 90 mph for a brief period on an open stretch, the tire balance with the dyna beads is awesome. Been running those for a while now and I'll never have a weight put on another wheel. I also run the beads in my off road tires on my truck.
