I put the chrome fork wind deflectors on my FLHR. Very satisfied with the results.

For my SG, I needed ALL the deflection I could get to reach the point that my glasses weren't moving around on my face making it hard to see to ride.

What about the adjustable wind deflectors that mount on the fairing ? Are these better than the fork mounted wind deflectors ? to get the best results, should I install both ?
They mount to different parts of the bike, and they deflect air from those places. They don't duplicate each other. I suggest installing both. Even with both installed, you're getting a lot of air coming from under the fairing between the forks. Install a fork baffle to deal with that.

Sorry for all the questions, but I don't want to go through the hassle and money if they don't really do anything.
Trust me, they work. They should be standard equipment on these bikes, IMO.

One last question, do either of these solutions cause any unwanted problems ?
No.

I think RThomas is right... no one deflector works for every bike and every rider. I've had fork deflectors that didn't do diddly squat. For those who want to check out another option in deflectors: http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/dese...in-deflectors/

Well, your advertisement notwithstanding, the deflectors I recommended DO work, and work well. And I'm not selling anything. Just to add some clarity to this.
