I have been waiting to get these Fairing Mounted mirrors for my 05 Ultra. I have got them now. Put them on yesterday. Went out for ride last nite. I dont like the location of them. I used the template that comes with. Seems like they should have been mounted up and out farther than what the template locates them. What is every bodys opinion on their mirrors. I am going to take mine off and move them if I can plug the holes. Opinion Please.
Thanks
Jim
I love mine! I installed 'em in the location suggested by the template.
I'm 5'10", 215 lbs., wear a size 46 jacket.
It did take awhile to get the mirrors adjusted just right, only part of me I see in the mirrors are my knuckles on the grips, and they don't take up much of the field of vision.
Sorry but you should have done a search on here first, alot of people located them up and out ( about 3/4" to 1") like you prefer. You could sell them and try the Wicked Image mirrors they are wider at least but have actual distance glass.

I had the same problem ,I am 6-4" they were way to low, ended up doing two sets of holes, Hate that part, but love the mirrors. If you do not want to do that, stop now, they make a bigger plug that will plug both the holes, or use two plugs, you can go back to a traditional mirror.
After switching to HD pullback reach bar, I know I need to do something to the fairing mounted mirrors. I use the smaller outside holes, enlarge them, making them the mounting holes, then drill the smaller holes slightly higher than the mounting holes, the whole assembly hide the original larger holes, and my mirrors are up and out.
I took mine off my SG after I put the +2 sweepers on.. What a difference.. I can see behind me now.. But even with the stock bars all I seen was arms and shoulders.. IMO they are worthless..
I ordered these two weeks ago: http://www.biker-direct.com/mirrors/...flht-1996-2010 still haven't arrived. That being said, I won't be ordering from them again. But I like the concept of the LED signals integrated. I'm going to turn my SG signals into fog lights......IF the dang mirrors ever show up.
