Thinking of next mod to my FLHR. Checked out a display model of H-D's Combination Analog/Tachometer Spun Aluminum Dial set-up. It's part #70900072 in the P&A catalog.
Looking to get some feedback from those that have already spent the $299.95 plus sales tax and have this mod on their Touring bikes.
I put one on my 2012 Road King. Nice to have a tach. Install took about 15 minutes. I do like all its' features and the fuel gauge seems to be very accurate, not so much for the stock gauge.
No fog issues as of yet. I know the stock speedo on my '06 RK had that problem. As far as the gear indicator, yes it shows up well on the LCD screen and it also has the green "6" indicator just like the stock speedo does.
Installed this on my RK as soon as I got it home form the dealer. Just couldn't handle not being able to glance at the RPM's and was never really sure what gear I was in half of the time. Nice features on it and my standard display is the clock!
I have it on my Road King and love it.... I love having the gear display and tach... Highly recommended. Get the flush mount gauges to go with it. Tank looks really sharp.....
