Try the 7" The 6" will be taller than the stock 4" shield as Fastaire's measurements are based on height not length of the shield. I have a 7" and it works great. I am 5'6"

+1 on the FastAire. I swear I clicked on "place order" and when I went downstairs it was in the mailbox.

Forgot to mention...I'm 6 ft tall. I think the only 7" they have is the aero shield and I am just looking at the standard shield. Does anyone else have any issue seeing at night through the darker shields? My last bike has a clear shield, so it wasnt an issue. I'm leaning towars the 8"...just because it should help more with the wind...but I'm sure it will be higher than my eyes. I was always told that a good spot for top of shield is around your upper lip?

Sorry not to jump the post, but I got to second the praise for fastaire. Got my 6" aero today and quality was great along with super easy install. Took it for a short trip in the neighborhood anD could feel the difference while in normally riding position and when I sat up to stretch like I do after an hour or so and the wind is completely different. I can still feel the wind, but no more shaking in my glasses like I used to have

Got the Aero about a year ago no complaints comes as advertised. Wanted a clear but the light tint is not bad at all. Don't know if anyone has mentioned it but I believe the Aero is a coated polycarb material. By the way just for reference I am 5'8" and look over the top of the 8".

The 8" will probably work perfect for you, but call Jim and he'll walk ya through the decision.

I picked up the Aero 10" light gray shield and the Freedom Wing adjustable side fairings. Both fit like a glove, I actually thought I must have put them on wrong, because nothing ever seems to fit the first time for me! I am 6'1 and the 10 inch is right at nose level for me. Sight lines are perfect and no wind buffeting thanks to the design. You won't regret the change.

I'm 6'1" and originally bought the 8". It wasn't working out. Jim sent me the 10" and I love it! Jim's the man. Even picked up my phone call on a Saturday. Super fast shipping, an awesome product, and a great guy to work with... what more can one ask?

I do have a 7 inch shield in the Basic Windshield line, Medium & Dark Gray. But the Aero performs much better.

The issue with us HD riders are we need a taller shield than we want. I hear all the time... "I want it to look good but I need it tall enough to stop my head from shaking". Thats a tough call to make because going lower looks cool but going taller protects better.

The windshield is in a static position, it works the same regardless as to the rider behind it. When deciding what windshield to get, the variable is always the rider. Things like: riders size & height, standard or lowered seat, handle bars, uses a back rest, looks vs function, light vs dark, solo vs two up... etc. All of these can change the size needed for optimum performance.

Most riders prefer the "line of sight" to be about 1 inch above the top of the shield. Or, somewhere between the tip of your nose to the centerliine of your eyes. But in the end you have to pick what works for you.

Its your money, buy what you want that will make the ride more enjoyable.

Everyone is welcomed to call me & discuss your needs, thats what Im here for.

Summmer is here, fire that bike up & go put some miles & smiles on yourself.....
