Steve, Mine just needed a shot of Gibbs or WD40 , they were clean and bright but still not latching right until a friend made this suggestion and it worked.

I think the weight is all on the bottom support bar. The pins only keep it in place

Got it to stay latched, i just loosen the brackets for the pins lined up the wholes and tighen the brackets right there.. BUT while i was down there i noticed this? bag looked way out of level with the bars and then i noticed both bags are not lined up and noticed the gap of the blinkers?? So my question is what side looks right, before i get into lineing everything back up.. The camera angle is pretty much level with the blinker bar.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

To me,it looks like the left saddlebag guard is tilted up in the first pic.

If you look at the blinkers, you will notice a gap between the bars on the left and the right one is close to the blinker. So should there be a gap or should they be closer like the right one??

Mother trucker the bike was dropped before..... There are two marks on the front crash bar and the bag bar. looks like it was dropped pulling it out of the garage not a speed drop. Pissed at myself for not noticing it when i bought it last month. So i guess i have some work to do to get everything lined back up. And the latche didn't stay closed lol..

Loosen up the support bar for the exhaust and the bags. Adjust up or down to meet your needs. This will also level out your tail pipes. Mine were not level either when I got it. Took about 10 min to fix.

Finally found the pic of the two fingers you need to bend below. Bend them up slightly until you feel them catch the hinge as you close the lids, add as little or as much resistance as you want, you could probably go without springs if you add the correct amount or resistance. I cant believe that this is not in the manual including pics. Works perfect.
